Moth Damage Treatment
Please be advised the following process is how we remove any
and all moths to rugs.
1St Process-is to inspect the carpet and locate the area
with the moths and mark it.
2nd Process is we then send it into a dusting machine, and
we remove all the dust from the carpet. The dusting process
is as: we put the back side of the carpet into the machine
back side up. There is leather belts that are turning around
and patting the back of the carpet. For the face of the carpet
there is a special brush with a vacuum. The brush is turning
around and removing all the dust, and the moth eggs as well
as any other particles from the rug. After that we do a 2nd
inspection, and the technetium of ours uses a hand brush to
remove all the eggs left from the moths. After this process
we send it into the washing process.
3rd Process is for washing, for washing the carpets we use
water, laundry detergent and a little bit of Clorox. From
there we rinse it out with fresh water and fabric softener.
After rinsing out the carpet it then goes into the drying
room. The way our dry room works is with fans and heat. The
carpet takes about 6hours to dry.
After the carpet is dried, we then do another inspection.
We check to be sure that all eggs and moths have been removed
from the carpet, if we do find any eggs or moths; we then
start the entire process all over again. However if after
the final inspection is done, and there is no eggs or no moths,
we then vacuum the rug and pack it for delivery.
